THE ABS DIET-This is the second time I have read this book. The thing that draws me to it is the high protein with carbs. It's kinda like a "Body for Life by Bill Phillips." I like that you get to eat the foods that the Word of Wisdom tells you to eat. I always want to try these diets that will help me lose lots of weight really fast, but I can never stick to them. I lose 8-10 pounds in 1-2 weeks knowing it's not the best way. Then eventually I get HUNGRY, my blood sugar goes crazy, it scares me & I know I need to eat more. Some lucky people can get away with these types of diets. I am NOT one of them. I think I have FINALLY (It has taken me long enough) came to the realization that I am going to have to settle for something slow & steady that I can stay with forever. With my health conditions, I HAVE TO EAT. Cheese is one food that if I start to not feel good I need to be able to eat (high protein in a hurry). I need a life style that allows that. Cheese and other high protein foods actually keep me from getting to a point that I don't feel good. So I just need to have a lifestyle where it is part of my eating plan. I have been following the abs plan & I feel so much better, the food is actually edible and I have more energy because it's enough calories to actually live on. The results are slower, but I think that is only because I lost some water weight with the other diet. I am hopeful it will pick up.
